This was very much appreciated as we had had a technical issue with dialling up on the video equipment.<br /><br />Hatton children choose the first pattern that we were to follow. Our children listened carefully so that they could match the correct icing colour.<br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxsdD6qdCfGZ_wNcqj2IOOLMFAjPprjLw_Cm1JPIlsYucwjj89ULmm8cCX6qw9MVayxhT9Ro6VUzeBb1M6LDw' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br /><br />They then very carefully iced onto their biscuits.<br /><br />We designed four different patterns, and enjoyed eating them very much.<br /><br />The children concetrated very hard whilst they were icing, checking with the help sheets and listening carefully to the instructions that were being given from Hatton School.<br /><br />We would like to thank all the children and staff from Hatton school for making it such a great expierence of sharing one anothers knowledge and skills.<br /><br />Gearies children and staff have enjoyed all of the activities that they took part in and hope that in the new year that we may continue to share together once again.<br /><br /><br /><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxnwjncxyRg_SyyWeI4e5r-ifHBuGthmsWdb77JY4q_h489ohKa7V0eEOzsBsJoeZ_rztB_p2-HuKWLRA-KOg' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe><br /><div></div>Gearies Infants ICThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06281205216573276868noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069374524704667124.post-27753771617135200282008-12-08T11:01:00.010+00:002008-12-11T10:49:34.478+00:00Y2's Electricity Warnings!Over the past half term our year 2 classes, have been using the digital movie makers to produce electrical warning <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">videos</span>.<br /><br />All the children have worked extremely hard, making their props, and creating their <span style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #ffff00">movies</span><br /><br />Well Done to all our year 2 children!<br /><br />I also would like to give a big thank you to Ben, who helped all the classes with the props and filming.<br /><br /><strong><span style="font-size:130%;color:#ff0000;">Please note that none of the electrical appliances had fuses in them. The adults were asked to peal and core the apples and pears.</p><p>Tianna and Jas counted out 5 grapes each and put them into the bowl. Then we peeled two bananas and cut them into small slices. The children from Hatton were watching and following.</p><p>The children from Hatton were very good at cutting their fruits . This really helped some of our children to prepare the fruit to be put into the bowl.</p><p><iframe allowfullscreen='allowfullscreen' webkitallowfullscreen='webkitallowfullscreen' mozallowfullscreen='mozallowfullscreen' width='320' height='266' src='https://www.blogger.com/video.g?token=AD6v5dxKBzp8e4l8aEvpF2SCkIigKkhzebrVuNQvVfNBs5zj6QFw-fyE42pO_402-hUxRA4bBCND6BjOYjFf8Tt4KQ' class='b-hbp-video b-uploaded' frameborder='0'></iframe></p><p>All the children were excellent at listening to instructions and were very knee to take part in the making of our fruit salad.</p><p>I like to thank all the staff involved in this link up. Just like last week we were warmly welcomed. Most of our children really enjoyed the Dingle Dangle Scarecrow song. Lots of our children did not know the song or the actions. So after we said goodbye. Our children asked if they could sing and try the actions out. So that is what we did.<br /><br />Mrs Ryan really enjoyed meeting up with Hatton again. "You always give us a warm welcome and it would be really good if Gearies could have a welcome song as well"."I've never been involved with video conferencing before and I've found its such fun!"<br /><br />Our children really enjoy singing with Hatton school and watching themselves on the big screen. Several of our children that often don't say that much, have started to interact with purposeful questions and answers.<br /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;color:#3366ff;">Please visit our project blog www.hatgear.blogspot.com</span>Gearies Infants ICThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06281205216573276868noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1069374524704667124.post-44758069554741439602008-11-12T17:13:00.005+00:002008-11-15T11:29:58.952+00:00A Great start to our project.<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2hcJpLh2iOmxsCLfUGO5CWP6qBRGmXkGwiuP2B-tANmg-xZIiEykvLjni8ezW6H4b7fh70OArc165EwzckZYBc1v7Ohb_WijMICOUG0oYYd_NHsze_GzKN1wZdS5vO3QZpzsXCM1OG0Y/s1600-h/PICT0029.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267821168521111186" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2hcJpLh2iOmxsCLfUGO5CWP6qBRGmXkGwiuP2B-tANmg-xZIiEykvLjni8ezW6H4b7fh70OArc165EwzckZYBc1v7Ohb_WijMICOUG0oYYd_NHsze_GzKN1wZdS5vO3QZpzsXCM1OG0Y/s320/PICT0029.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgucyAG6JgDw_lpUEWEouwEyyMC_B-miHIyvrshugsBNvMN53LephFWp01NbYPfT4Oal_iEsQbv7LkD1_7owzhxChLJOUyJ001UWWqHh0IXOaDWddpjormakm8W2GdB8kjV086mLxlK04l8/s1600-h/PICT0029.JPG"></a><div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgucyAG6JgDw_lpUEWEouwEyyMC_B-miHIyvrshugsBNvMN53LephFWp01NbYPfT4Oal_iEsQbv7LkD1_7owzhxChLJOUyJ001UWWqHh0IXOaDWddpjormakm8W2GdB8kjV086mLxlK04l8/s1600-h/PICT0029.JPG"></a><br /></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Yesterday Gearies and Hatton Schools meet up for the first time using Video conferencing.<br />Gearies children join in with Hatton's singing assembly. They welcomed us by singing hello and it was then that I think the children from Gearies started to realise that they were not watching a television.<br />Hatton had kindly sent us a board with symbols of songs that we knew and could share with one another.<br />The interaction between the two school was fantastic. Children taking it in turns to choose different songs. Children sharing actions together, both schools singing and rowing to Row Row Row your boat.<br />Some of our children were sitting on the carpet and signing to the songs.<br />When one of our children choose Old MacDonald had a farm we shared which animals were on the farm and one of Hatton's children showed their soft toy of a chicken.<br />Our staff thought it was really good to share with Hatton School and some very positive learning took place.
